The Project:
To convert a small white food van into a distinctive, eye-catching cake van which will travel around the local area selling cakes to the public.
The Vehicle:
DFSK Loadhopper (we hadn’t seen one of these before either!)
The Brief:
Following a consultation, we had a promising idea of the client’s vision for the van
Looked at Vinyl Colour Swatches – Oracal Hellrosa Soft Pink was chosen for the full wrap base colour
Graphics
Sides – Large company logo in the middle with fairies/cakes in corner areas
Rear – Contact information and logo – FB/Insta/Tel/Email
Also – ‘no cakes are left inside overnight’
Bonnet – Logo in centre
Measurements taken so we can account for how much vinyl is needed
Design
Brief handed to graphic designer to translate an idea to a reality – visual design supplied for customer approval
Once approved/signed off/booked in, the installation can begin
Process
Strip vehicle, sand down uneven areas, remove fixtures/fittings etc
Clean and prep all areas to be wrapped
Wrap in pink,
Add graphics
Re make badge
Replace all fittings/fixtures
Ensure all newly applied vinyl is settled and clean
Case Study written and published with the kind permission of Amanda Leek – owner of Fairy Good Cakes’ little pink van!
